BLACK
WATCH arrived at the Cork harbour anchorage off Cóbh around 12:00 on Tuesday
July 27. Passengers were brought ashore by the ship's boats to Kennedy Pier as
the Cruise Terminal berth was occupied by Oceania Cruises' INSIGNIA. Before
the INSIGNIA had cleared for the terminal at 18:00 BLACK WATCH moved off from
the anchorage and was proceeding to the terminal. However, one of her
passenger tenders had gone to Kennedy Pier to pick up some crew and other
items. This "excursion""appeared to take some time and she
approached the terminal very slowly, only berthing once the passenger tender
had been retrieved. BLACK WATCH was assisted by tugs TURBOT BANK [bow] and
SALEEN [stern]. She was fully secured around
19:00. Departure from Cóbh was on schedule at 23:30. She passed the Commodore
Hotel ten minutes later. |
